Obituary for Marcia J. Anderson
MARCIA J. ANDERSON, 58, of 528 East Main Street, Morrison, IL, died Monday, July 25, 2011 at her home. Marcia was born September 17, 1952 in Clinton, IA to Marvin P. and Wilma J. (Brondyke) Vos. She was educated in the Morrison grade schools and was a 1970 graduate of Morrison High School. She attended Sauk Valley Community College in Dixon, IL and the former Mount St. Clare College in Clinton, IA. Marcia married Alan K. Anderson on September 3, 1971 in Morrison, IL. She was first employed by the former Jane Lamb Hospital in Clinton, IA and then worked for Color Star Painting in Morrison, IL. She later worked for McEleney Motors in Clinton, IA and most recently for Gary Foster " Winkel, Parker, and Foster CPA, PC in Clinton, IA. Marcia was a member of Bethesda Lutheran Church in Morrison and served as a Sunday School teacher and Superintendent. She was also the Thrivent Financial Director. Marcia greatly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, Dylan and Allie Anderson. Survivors include one daughter, Suzan Anderson of Morrison, IL; one son, Mike (Dana) Anderson of Pekin, IL; two grandchildren, Dylan Anderson and Allie Anderson; two sisters, Pat (Dennis) McConnaughhay of Peoria, IL and Janet (Nathan) Larrabee of Corpus Christi, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents.
