Obituary for Lucille Eshelman
LUCILLE ESHELMAN, 84, of the Alverno Health Care Facility, Clinton, IA, formerly of Fulton, IL, died Monday, September 11, 2006 at the Alverno. Lucille was born August 18, 1922, in Deer Park, Alabama to Herman and Mabel (Tummel) Ridderbjelke. She came to Illinois and was raised by her mother and John Fisher. She was educated in the Sublette, IL grade schools. She married Eugene Eshelman on February 28, 1940 in Dixon, IL. He died on March 26, 1999. Lucille was a homemaker. She was a member of the Garden Plain Presbyterian Church in rural Fulton. She had been active in the Ashton"s Women"s Service Club in Ashton, IL, and had taught Sunday school at First Reformed Church in Fulton. She also had been active in the church"s Jr. RCYF and had served as a Cub Scout Den Mother. Survivors include four sons, Raymond (Beth) Eshelman of Albany, IL; Richard (Connie) Eshelman of Mesa, AZ; Roger (Ruth) Eshelman of Morrison, IL and Robert (Dawn) Eshelman of Fulton, IL. She was also survived by nine grandchildren, two step grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and five step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene; five brothers, two sisters and one great grandchild.
