Obituary for Lucille E. Houch-Bomleny
LUCILLE E. HOUCH-BOMLENY, 87, of Maple Lawn Health Center in Eureka, IL, formerly of Hooppole, IL died Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at Eureka Community Hospital in Eureka, IL. Lucille was born on September 18, 1921 in Hooppole, IL to William M. and Mary G. (Copeland) Heitzler. She was educated in Hooppole Grade and High Schools, and was a graduate of Prophetstown High School. She went on to attend business college in Davenport, IA. She married Lowell P. Houch on April 5, 1945 in Birmingham, AL. He died on May 30, 1969. She then married Donald Bomleny on November 19, 1973. Lucille was employed by Yorktown Lumber and Grain in Yorktown, IL. She later worked for Hooppole Lumber and Grain in Hooppole, IL. She also was a correspondent writer for the Moline Dispatch, Sterling Gazette and Kewanne Star-Courier. She was a member of St. Luke"s Catholic Church in Eureka, IL, the Hooppole American Legion Auxiliary and was the secretary of the Maple Lawn Auxiliary. Lucille enjoyed knitting, sewing and crocheting. She also enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles and gardening. Survivors include two sons, William "Bill" (Mylene) Houch of Peoria, IL and James "Jim" (Debra) Houch of Eureka, IL; four grandchildren, Jeffrey Houch and Justin (Jennifer) Houch, Melissa Hall, Mitchell Houch; two great grandchildren, Kelsey and Kolbi Hall. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lowell and one brother, Richard Heitzler.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 11:00 AM Saturday, November 1, 2008 at St. Mary of the Fields Catholic Church, Hooppole, ILMEMORIAL SERVICE: 2:00 PM Sunday, November 2, 2008 at Maple Lawn Memorial Hall in Eureka, IL with visitation starting at 1:00 PM until the time of the serviceOFFICIATING: Rev. G.
