Obituary for Louise Taber
LOUISE TABER, 83, of Prophetstown, IL, died Thursday, January 30, 2014 at her home. Louise was born February 16, 1930, in Geneseo, IL, to Margaret DeCap. She was a 1948 graduate of Moline High School in Moline, IL, and a 1951 graduate of the St. Anthony"s School of Nursing in Rock Island, IL. Louise married Roy B. Taber Jr. on November 5, 1955 in Erie, IL. He died November 3, 1989. She was a registered nurse at Colonial Acres in Rock Falls, IL, retiring in 1990. Louise enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters. She also loved to play pinochle with her friends. Survivors include one daughter, Brenda (Jim) Smith of Prophetstown, IL; one son, Brad (Michelle) Taber of Prophetstown, IL; two granddaughters, Cherise (Ben) Glunz and Cassy Taber; one sister, Mrs. Jo Ann Bunch of Rock Falls, IL. She was preceded in death by her mother and husband, Roy.
