Obituary for Loran A. Leeper
LORAN A. LEEPER, 69, of 22760 282nd Avenue, LeClaire, IA, died Saturday, March 11, 2006 in Clinton, IA, as the result of an accident. Loran was born May 21, 1936, in Mountain Grove, MO, to Frank and Edith (Sigmon) Leeper. He was educated in the Calamus-Wheatland Schools in Iowa, and graduated from Clinton High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force. Loran married Elaine J. Borgman on November 24, 1962 in Fulton, IL. He was employed by the former Clinton Corn in Clinton, IA for 25 years. He was then employed by General Motors, where he was instrumental in the start-up of the Saturn division plant in Spring Hill, TN. He attended Trinity Reformed Church in Fulton, IL. He was a member of the Clinton Moose Lodge #363 and was a volunteer for the Clinton Police Reserve for 17 years. He was a member of the Tag-A-Long Trailer Club and he was an 18-gallon blood donor. Survivors include his wife, Elaine; three daughters, Sue (Mrs. Scott) Keegan of Clinton, IA, Cheryl (Mrs. Jim) Koele of Urbandale, IA and Lori (Mrs. John) Carter of Sugarland, TX; one son, Jim Leeper of Grimes, IA; seven grandchildren, Andrew, Heather, Allison and Elizabeth Keegan; Jonathan, Steven and Katherine Koele; one sister, Linda (Mrs. LeRoy) Lemke of Camanche, IA and two brothers, William (Shirley) Thomas of Marion, MA and Stan (Mary) Leeper of Clinton, IA. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Tom and Jim in infancy; Harold; one sister, Lorraine, in infancy.

FUNERAL SERVICE 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 16, 2006 at the Trinity Reformed Church in Fulton, IL. The service is preceded by a 10:15 a.m. family prayer service at the churchOFFICIATING Rev.
