Obituary for Lois M. King
LOIS M. KING, 85, of Prophetstown, IL, died Monday, April 5, 2021 at her home.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, April 12, 2021 at the Bosma-Gibson Funeral Home in Prophetstown. A visitation will precede the service, from 12 noon until the time of the funeral. Interment will be at the Riverside Cemetery in Prophetstown. A memorial has been established.
Lois was born November 11, 1935 in Geneseo, IL to Edwin L. and Loretta (Whittington) Neuleib. She was educated in the Geneseo grade schools and was a graduate of Geneseo High School. On September 29, 1956 she married James P. King in Geneseo. Lois was employed by Dr. Sherwood Bryan’s dentist office in Prophetstown. She was also a homemaker. She was a member of St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Prophetstown. Lois enjoyed playing Rolle Bolle and was a member of the Rolle Bolle Club in Geneseo. She was the Rolle Bolle Champion of Illinois and International Champion several times.
Survivors include her husband, Jim; two sons, Bruce King of Holly Springs, NC and Chris (Beth) King of Cullom, IL; six grandchildren, Matthew King, Michelle King, Caroline (Nick) French, Lacey King, Kadie (Cole) Fairley, Jade King; one sister, Lories (Phil) Graham; two brothers, Lavern and Laurel Neuleib.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Michael J. King; two sisters, Leota Wethington and Lila Parrish; one brother, Lynn W. Neuleib.
