Obituary for Linda L. Kohl
LINDA L. KOHL, 68. of 18780 13th Street in Fulton, Illinois died Monday, July 6, 2009, at her home. Linda was born on October 27, 1940 in Morrison, IL to Fred and Goldie (Williams) Shepard. She was educated in Morrison Grade Schools and graduated from Morrison High School. She married Ernie J. Enoch on February 2, 1957 in Morrison, IL. She later married Virgil M. Birely on June 24, 1972 in Morrison, IL. He preceded her in death on September 27, 1988. She then married Robert E. Kohl, Sr. on August 4, 1990 in Morrison, IL. He died December 19, 1998. Linda was employed by Volckmann"s Furniture in Morrison, IL. She loved to go to yard sales. She loved her dogs, Girl and Taco, and she enjoyed fishing and loved the time spent with her family. Survivors include one daughter, Esther (Robert Jr.) Kohl of Clinton, IA; three step-daughters, Laurie (Murray) Henricks of Clinton, IA, Lola (Paul) McArdle of Clinton, IA, Betty (Michael Jr.) Sally of Clinton, IA; four step-sons, Robert (Esther) Kohl Jr. of Clinton, IA, Jack (Brenda) Kohl of Clinton, IA, John (Monica) Kohl of Clinton, IA, William Wernick of California; five grandchildren, Michael (Betty) Sally Jr., T-Bone Sally, Elizabeth Sally, Heather Kohl, Robert Kohl III; twenty grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; two sisters, Penny Burridge of Fulton, IL, Sally Mitchell of Chicago, IL; one brother, Robert (Beverly) Shepard of Fulton, IL; and her special friend, Kelly Butler of Clinton, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2nd husband, Virgil; 3rd husband, Robert; one son, Billy Joe Enoch; one sister, Rose Marie McCreery; three brothers, Jack Shepard, Donald Shepard and one other in infancy; and one grandson, Calvin Welch.
