Obituary for Linda J. Van Damme
LINDA J. VAN DAMME, 61, of 2120 6th Street, Fulton, IL, died Friday, August 13, 2010 at Harbor Crest Nursing Home in Fulton, IL. Linda was born May 7, 1949, in Clinton, IA, to Jacob Jr. and Jennie (Bielema) Van Kampen. She was educated in the East Clinton grade schools and graduated from Fulton High School in 1967. She married Douglas D. Van Damme Sr. on April 6, 1973 in Erie, IL. He passed away on July 23, 1990. Linda was employed by General Electric in Morrison, IL retiring in 2005. She was a member of Gateway Faith Fellowship in Fulton and the G.E.M. Club. Linda enjoyed line dancing, bowling and crafting. She had participated in numerous walks for breast cancer. Survivors include one daughter, Kelly (Dennis) VanZuiden of Morrison, IL; one son, Mike (Tasha Ross) Van Damme of Fulton, IL; one step-daughter, Stacy (Don) Hancock of East Moline, IL; one step-son, Douglas (Joan) Van Damme Jr. of Des Moines, IA; eight grandchildren, Linda and Joey VanZuiden, Deseray and Michael D. Van Damme, Alysa Smothers, Christopher and Stephanie Lee, Shadoe Van Damme; three sisters, Mrs. Lois Jorgensen of Clinton, IA, Joyce (Gene) Jensen of Clinton, IA, Marlene (Robert) Buck of Fulton, IL; three brothers, Allen Van Kampen of Fulton, IL, Paul (Judy) Van Kampen of Fulton, IL and Richard (Linda) Van Kampen of Fulton, IL; one sister-in-law, Beverly Van Kampen of Fulton, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Doug; two brothers, Warren and Donald Van Kampen.
