Obituary for Linda A. Ottens
LINDA A. OTTENS, 71, of Fulton, IL, died Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at her home.
A private funeral service will be held at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home with Roy Abbott officiating. There will be no visitation and cremation rites will be accorded. Memorials have been established to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and Clinton Humane Society.
Linda was born August 17, 1949, in Morrison, IL, to Jay and Patricia (Hurley) VanZuiden. She was educated in the Albany Grade School and was a graduate of Fulton High School. She then attended one fun year at Western Illinois University. Linda married Terry Ottens on December 11, 1971, in Clinton, IA. Linda was employed part-time at the former Wilson’s Floral Shop in Fulton, IL. She enjoyed spending time at the casino. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with friends and family, raising her children and enjoying the time spent with her grandchildren. Her door was always open and her home never knew a stranger.
Survivors include her husband, Terry; two daughters, Elizabeth (Mike) Drevline of Arlington Heights, IL, and Emily Ottens of Scottsdale, AZ; two sons, Joseph Ottens of Fulton, IL, and Thom (Jessica) Ottens of Davenport, IA; three grandchildren, Evan Dzik, Madison Dzik, and Ella Ottens; one sister, Margaret (Bruce) Holt of Lexington, KY; and one brother, Stephen VanZuiden of Pittsburgh, PA.
She was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings in infancy.
