Obituary for Landon Lee Rodgers
LANDON LEE RODGERS, 13, of 2428 Roosevelt Street in Clinton, IA, died Tuesday April 23, 2019 at his home.
The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Second Reformed Church in Fulton, IL, with Laura Wessels, Director of Ministries at Second Reformed Church, officiating. A visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday, April 26th at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home, in Fulton. Cremation rites will be accorded following the funeral service. A memorial has been established by the family.
Landon was born December 9, 2005 in Oxford, MS, to Clifton S. and Jennifer A. (Spangler) Rodgers, Jr. He was educated at Eagle Heights Grade School and Clinton Middle School in Clinton, IA. He was an avid WWE fan, with his favorite wrestler being John Cena. He loved video games, listening to music and being outdoors and taking walks along the river.
Survivors include his mother, Jennifer (Glenn Hammer) Rodgers of Clinton; his father, Cliff S. Rodgers, Jr. of Oxford, MS; a sister, Alyza Hammer; two brothers, Calvin Hammer and Tanner Rodgers; his maternal grandmother, Sue Gosa of Clinton; maternal grandfather of Brian Spangler of Morrison, IL; paternal grandparents, Roger and Peggy Baggett of Water Valley, MS; grandparents Alan and Phyllis Hammer of Savanna, IL; maternal great grandmother, Catherine Gosa of Rapid City, IL; four aunts, Kerri (Rich) Van Kampen Jr. of Fulton, IL, Amanda (Curt) Pendleton of Camanche, IA, Amanda (Raul) Guzman of Oxford, MS and Shannon Hammer of Clinton, IA; four uncles, A.J. (Keira) Hammer of Savanna, IL, Daniel (Sam) Gosa of Davenport, IA and Jonathan Gosa of California and Brandon Baggett of Water Valley, MS; also many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Therman Gosa Jr. and great grandparents.
