Obituary for Kimberly J. Verdick
KIMBERLY J. VERDICK, 40, of 309 S. Hall Street, Morrison, IL, died Saturday, May 6, 2006, at CGH Medical Center in Sterling, IL. Kim was born December 22, 1965 in Morrison, IL, to Robert E. and Jane A. (Stichter) Nelson. She was educated in the Morrison grade schools and was a Morrison High School graduate. She attended Robert Morris College in Carthage, IL and the Morrison Institute of Technology in Morrison, IL. Kim married David Verdick on May 4, 1991 in Morrison. She was employed by Commonwealth Edison in Cordova, IL. Later, she was employed as office manager for Hunter"s Body Shop in Morrison and most recently, she was employed by the Clinton County Engineering Department. She was a member of the Morrison United Methodist Church, the church choir, and the Morrison Jaycees. She greatly enjoyed following her son"s school and athletic activities and doing crafts, stamping, and scrapbooking. Survivors include her son, Nathan Verdick of Morrison; one stepdaughter, Dana Verdick of Morrison; her parents, Bob and Janie Nelson of Morrison; one sister, Shelli Sibley of Morrison; her paternal grandmother, Mrs. Mae Nelson of Clinton, IA; two nieces, Kelsey and Kyla Sibley, one nephew, Clay Sibley. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Russell Nelson, Charles and Nellie Stichter.
