Obituary for Kenneth J. Church
KENNETH J. CHURCH, 72, of 803 1st Street North, Lyndon, IL, died Monday, May 2, 2011 at Morrison Community Hospital, Morrison, IL. Kenneth was born December 17, 1938 in Monroe, NE to Everett and Mabel (Warnke) Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Ken married Judith M. "Judi" Pilgrim on April 6, 1962 in Morrison. She died February 25, 2008. Ken was employed by the former Northwestern Steel and Wire Company in Sterling, IL for over 30 years. He was a member of the Lyndon United Methodist Church in Lyndon, IL. He was an avid Cubs, Bears, and Illini fan and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and mowing his yard. Survivors include four sons, Kerry Church of Lyndon, IL; Kevin (Carmen) Church of Morrison, IL; Kurt Church of Spring Valley, IL; and Kristopher (Allison) Church of Lyndon, IL; fourteen grandchildren, Drew Church, Sarah (Steven) Wiebenga, Kimberly Church, Kaleb Church, Kassidee Church, Kody Church, Kolton Church, Dillon Church, Carissa Church, Austin Church, Kayleen Church, Kristian Church, Luciano Church and Amiliani Church; two sisters, Betty (Ron) Thomas of Davenport, IA and Shirley Maes of Prophetstown, IL; one brother, Jimmy Church of Lyndon, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Judi; several sisters and brothers.
