Obituary for Kenneth D. Pete Fredericksen
KENNETH D. "PETE" FREDERICKSEN, 78, of 18910 Elston Road, Fulton, IL, died Monday, September 26, 2011 at his home. Pete was born August 23, 1933, in Clinton, IA, to Harry R. and Myrtle M. (Stringham) Fredericksen. He was educated in the Clinton schools. He married Juanita Koch on June 25, 1954 in Fulton, IL. Pete was employed as a truck driver for several area trucking companies, including Western Transportation and Ruan Transportation. He then drove for Van Zuiden Trucking for a short time, retiring in 1990. Following his retirement he was employed by the Clinton School District as a part time school bus driver. Pete was a member of the Church of the Open Door in Clinton, where he served as head usher for 25 years. He was active in Men"s Bible Studies and Ministries. He enjoyed hunting, bowling, fishing, camping, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Juanita; two daughters, Pamela (Larry) Oesterborg of Fulton and Rhonda Schumacher of Minneapolis, MN; one son, David (Dominique) Fredericksen of Tucson, AZ; eight grandchildren, Michael (Linda) Ramig, Priscilla (Rafael) Lozano, Erika (Shawn) Bloomhuff, Daniel Schumacher, Alanna Schumacher, Amber Dobish, Kenneth Fredericksen, Katie Fredericksen; twenty one great grandchildren; one brother, Raymond Fredericksen of Fulton. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Pauline Dithmart, Joan Hackett.
