Obituary for Kathryn L. Spotts
KATHRYN L. SPOTTS, 50, of Pleasant View Nursing Home, Morrison, IL, died Thursday, October 26, 2006 at the nursing home. Kathryn was born January 19, 1956 in Morrison to Gerald W. and Patricia J. (Batcheller) Mathew. She was educated in the Round Grove and Morrison grade schools and was a Morrison High School graduate. She was employed by J.C. Penney"s Department Store and National Manufacturing both in Sterling, IL. Most recently, she was employed by Wahl Clipper Corporation in Sterling for many years where she made many good friends. She was a member of St. John"s Lutheran Church in Sterling. She enjoyed sewing and cooking and the care of her daughter was the most important thing in her life. Survivors include one daughter, Lynn H. Spotts of Morrison; her parents, Gerald and Patricia Mathew of Morrison; two sisters, Karen (Mrs. Sam) Marciano of Ft. Wayne, IN and Julie (Mrs. Todd) Engstrom of Rock Island, IL; one brother, Richard (Jan) Mathew of Forsythe, IL; five nieces and two nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
