Obituary for Karen L. Allen
KAREN L. ALLEN, 61, of Thomson, IL, died Monday, September 7, 2020, at her home.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Cremation rites will be accorded. The Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home is assisting the family. A memorial has been established.
Karen was born October 15, 1958, in Elmhurst Memorial Hospital in Du Page County, IL, to Philip and Phyllis (Weigand) Ropinski. She attended Willowbrook High School in Lombard, IL. Karen married Gregory S. Allen on February 10, 2003, in Cook County, IL. She worked at Walmart as a Customer Service Manager for many years and most recently worked at Metform as a quality inspector.
Survivors include her husband, Greg; two sisters, Linda (Jeff) Kaplan of Mt. Carroll, IL and Kristine (Tony) VanDenack of Elmhurst, IL; one brother, Joe (Tammy) Ropinski of Lombard, IL; one special uncle, Russ Weigand; and a special cousin, Laurie Holt; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
