KAREN J. UPTON, 75, of Morrison, IL, died Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Morrison Community Hospital in Morrison.Karen was born August 26, 1941, in Morrison, IL and was adopted by Russell and Jeanette Snook Kump. Karen was educated in the Morrison Grade Schools and was a graduate of Morrison High School. She married Lyle E. Bert Upton on December 26, 1978, in Las Vegas, NV. She was first employed by Volckmanns Furniture Factory in Morrison and later for General Electric in Morrison for 32 years, retiring in 2000. Following retirement, she worked at Dollar General in Morrison. Karen was a member of the Ebenezer Reformed Church in Morrison, the churchs Ladies Aid Society, and Prayer Partners. She also served on many other committees. She loved to send cards and write letters.Survivors include her husband, Lyle; one daughter, Debbi (Mike) Orlowski of Sterling, IL; two sons, Steve Hook of Fenton, IL and Tory (Holly) Upton of Bloomington, IL; six grandchildren, Courtney (Kevin) Bruckner, Jr., Kadie Orlowski, Kylee Hook, Cameron Upton, Ty Upton, and Hayley Upton; and two great-grandchildren, Kenzie and Kendyl Bruckner.She was preceded in death by her parents

FUNERAL SERVICE: 11:00 A.M. Monday, March 20, 2017, at Ebenezer Reformed Church - Morrison, IL OFFICIATING: Mr. Ken Renkes VISITATION: 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service on Monday, March 20, 2017 at Ebenezer Reformed Church - Morrison, IL INTERMENT: Grove Hill Cemetery - Morrison, IL The Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
