Obituary for June Johnson
JUNE JOHNSON, 87, of St. Petersburg, FL, formerly of Morrison, IL, died, Saturday, May 6, 2006 in St. Petersburg. June was born February 25, 1919, in Morrison, IL to Harry and Kate (DeGroot) Dykema. She was educated in Morrison schools and graduated from Morrison High School. She married Kenneth L. Johnson on May 1, 1943 in Rock Island, IL. He died October 2, 1994. June farmed along with her husband in the rural Morrison area. They retired in 1977 and moved to St. Petersburg, FL. She enjoyed sewing and knitting, playing cards and she loved music. She was of the Lutheran faith. Survivors include a daughter, Jane Rickman of Oak Park, IL; son and daughter-in-law William "Bill" and Patty D"Agostino-Johnson of Sarasota, FL; a granddaughter, Tiffany D"Agostino; three grandsons, Matt and Michael Rickman and Josh Johnson. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Henrietta Petty and Arlene Verdick; and one brother, Dyke (Dwight) Dykema.
