Obituary for June Crete
JUNE CRETE, 87, of 524 Barden Street, Morrison, IL, died Friday, January 30, 2009 at CGH Medical Center, Sterling, IL, as a result of an automobile accident. June was born January 14, 1922 in Morrison, IL, to Wesley A. and Margarete L. (Theilen) Middleton. She was educated in the Morrison grade schools and was a graduate of Morrison High School. June married Ray N. Crete on November 8, 1946 in Davenport, IA. He died February 6, 1994. She was employed as a secretary for the ICA Ice Cooling Factory in Morrison. Later, she was employed by the Morrison Community Federal Credit Union and most recently, she was employed by Fitzgerald Pharmacy in Morrison as a sales clerk. June was a member of St. Peter"s Lutheran Church in Morrison and the church"s Ladies Aid Society. She was also a member of the Morrison Garden Club. June enjoyed knitting, playing cards, reading, and playing piano for the First Baptist Church in Morrison. Survivors include one daughter, Kim (John) Renhowe of Fort Collins, CO; one son, Steve Crete of Highlands Ranch, CO; two grandchildren, Jeff (Jennifer) Ryner and Luke Ryner; two great grandchildren, Madeline and Tate Ryner; and one brother, Gene Middleton of Morrison. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Ray.
