Obituary for Julia M. Beveroth
JULIA M. BEVEROTH, 94, of Resthave Nursing Home, Morrison, IL, died Thursday, February 25, 2010 at the nursing home. Julia was born April 30, 1915, to Louis J. and Agnes (Sikkema) Pessman. She was educated in the Mt. Hope School of rural Whiteside County Illinois. She married Henry W. Beveroth on January 12, 1949 in Morrison. He died December 30, 1962. Julia was first employed as a housekeeper of George Roselieb in Fenton, IL. She then was employed by Liquid Carbonics and the former Volckmann Furniture Factory in Morrison. After the death of her husband, Julia worked for Peterson"s Drug Store, as a kitchen aid in the Morrison Community Hospital and at the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home, all in Morrison. She was a member of Emmanuel Reformed Church in Morrison, where she sang in the choir and was in the church;s Mission Circle. She enjoyed gardening and working in her yard. Survivors include two step grandchildren, Vickie (Gary) Johnson and Steve (Becky Willey) Sturtevant; five step great grandchildren; three sisters, Dorothy Kramer and Ella (Arthur) Kramer of Fulton, IL, Harriet (Howard) Wierema of North Phoenix, AZ; special niece and nephew, Sharon (Merle) Reisenbigler and Arlyn (Jane) Pessman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry; one step daughter, Leona Newell; two brothers, Homer and Lewis Pessman.
