Obituary for Juineta Sissing
JUINETA SISSING, 104, of Four Seasons Living Center, Morrison, IL, died Monday, September 11, 2006, at the Four Seasons Living Center. Juineta was born December 26, 1901 in Garden Plain, IL, to Artemus and Nellie (Galusha) Snyder. She attended Garden Plain grade school and was a graduate of Fulton High School, Fulton, IL. Juineta married Henry Sissing on February 27, 1929 in Garden Plain. He died February 28, 1966. She and her husband farmed many years in the Garden Plain area. She was a member of the Garden Plain Presbyterian Church in rural Fulton, IL, the TF Club, and United Presbyterian Women"s Group. Juineta was an expert seamstress and quilter; making some of her family"s clothes and many quilts. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Aguirre of Hemet, CA and Harriet (Mrs. Lawrence) Vrchoticky of Morrison, IL; one daughter-in-law, Pat Mc Danel of Fulton, IL; seven grandchildren, Rick (Elizabeth) Smith, Sandra (Mrs. Mark) Kuban, Kenneth Sissing, Bryan Sissing, Julie (Mrs. Steven) Sanders, Beck (Mrs. William) Herzberg, and Andrea (Mrs. Bryan) O"Connor; nine great grandchildren; two brothers, Alva Wells (Dolores) Snyder and Joe (Lucille) Snyder both of Fulton, IL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry; one son, Richard Sissing; two sisters, Beulah Vander Schaaf and Lorna Haag; and one brother, Don Snyder.
