Obituary for Judy A. McCulloh
JUDY A. MCCULLOH, 82, of Resthave Home in Morrison, IL, died Sunday, December 12, 2021 at Resthave.
Judy’s funeral services will be held at 12 noon, Saturday, December 18, 2021 at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home, co-officiated by Rev. Cal Haines and Rev. Ryan Sutton. A visitation will be held prior to the service, from 10:00 a.m. until noon. Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison. Memorials to Resthave Home and Morrison United Methodist Church have been established.
Judy was born October 2, 1939 in Morrison, to Lawrence and Anneta (Vanderlaan) Schroeder. She graduated from Morrison High School in 1957. She married Owen “Mac” G. McCulloh on August 30, 1957 in Morrison. While still in high school Judy began working at the Whiteside County Farm Bureau, and continued working there until retiring in 2000. She was a member of the Morrison United Methodist Church, and had served on the building committee. She was a board member and secretary for the Morrison Historical Society and a member of the IL / IA Car Club. Judy bowled twice a week, until the Covid pandemic, and served as the league’s secretary. She was on the team’s “board”, scoring many 600 series every year. She also enjoyed playing volleyball, golfing, yard work, gardening, traveling and camping. Once a month a group of her classmates, calling themselves the “Cackle Club”, would get together for an outing. She was a Chicago Cubs fan, attending a game each year, and she also liked the Chicago Bulls. Judy never missed her grand and great grandkids’ sporting events, even in the pouring rain and terrible snow storms. Above all, she and her late husband, Owen, were inseparable until he passed on April 23, 2018.
Survivors include one daughter, Kandy (Steve) Heller of Morrison; six granddaughters, April (Charles) Anderson, Amber (Dan) Blumhoff, Melissa McCulloh, Kara McCulloh, Tamara (Anthony) Landingham and Mikayla McCulloh; eight great grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Lisa McCulloh of Simi Valley, CA; one brother, Arlyn (Shirley) Schroeder of Morrison.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Owen; one son, Kevin G. McCulloh; two brothers, Harvey Schroeder and Dan Schroeder.
