Obituary for Judith M. Holesinger

JUDITH M. HOLESINGER, 77, of Fulton, IL, died Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at Clarissa Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf, IA.


Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 10, 2023 at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Michael Hooker, Pastor of First Christian Reformed Church in Fulton. A visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Sunday, April 9th at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Garden Plain Cemetery in Fulton, IL. Memorials have been established to the Unity Christian School Building Fund and Cary Christian Center in Cary, MS.


Judy was born August 14, 1945 in Morrison, IL to Marian and Geneva (Meurs) Stuart. She was educated in the rural Whiteside County Grade Schools and was a graduate of Morrison High School. On September 18, 1964 she married Richard J. Holesinger in Morrison. She was first employed at General Electric in Morrison and later worked for the Russ Holesinger Law Offices. Judy and her husband Rich also farmed in the rural Garden Plain area. She was a member of the Morrison Christian Reformed Church where she taught Sunday School and sang with the Praise Team. She was a very active volunteer at Unity Christian School, and was once selected as Volunteer of the Year. She enjoyed couponing, entering sweepstakes and playing cards. She found great joy in life spending time with her family, especially attending her grandchildren’s activities and events.


Survivors include her husband, Richard; one daughter, Laura (Jon) Ritterbush of Wichita, KS; two sons, Jon (Brenda) Holesinger of Rockford, MI and Bill (Tanya Kimble) Holesinger of Fulton, IL; nine grandchildren, Kyle Ritterbush, Justin Ritterbush, Emily Holesinger, Andrew (Sarah) Holesinger, Erica Holesinger, Annie Holesinger, Dustin Holesinger, Devin (Sarah) Holesinger and Dayne Holesinger; two great grandchildren, Bethany and Sadie Holesinger; one sister, Nelta (David) Roeder of Morrison, IL; three brothers, Larry Stuart of Rock Falls, IL, Richard Stuart of Clinton, IA and Joel (Nikki) Stuart of Rapid City, IL.


She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Brad Holesinger; one sister, Marilyn Vegter; one brother, Donald E. Stuart.
