Obituary for Judith "Judy" A. Hook
JUDITH “JUDY” ANN HOOK, 82, of Morrison, IL. died November 23, 2023 at CGH Medical Center in Sterling, IL.
Her funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home with Pastor Roger Carlson officiating. Visitation will precede the funeral service, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. A memorial has been established for the New Hope Baptist Church of Sterling, IL. Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison.
Judy was born November 7, 1941 in Morrison, IL to Clair and Dorothy (Williams) Scudder. She married James Smith and later married John Hook on April 7, 1992 in Morrison, IL. Judy worked at Collis, and then for General Electric, retiring from there. She loved her family and family get-togethers, and especially attending her grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s sports events and dance recitals. Judy enjoyed finding bargains at garage sales, motorcycle and car trips and family genealogy.
Judy is survived and will be missed by her husband, John; her brother, Gene Scudder; her sister-in-law, Mary (Stephen) Gowan, her sons, Rick Smith and Daniel Smith; her step son, Marcus (Anna) Hook; her step daughter, Michelle (Ryan) Wilkens. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Aleshia Turner, Josh (Whitney) Smith, Thomas Smith, Dylan Smith, Jessica Smith, Ryan Earl; five step grandchildren, Tyler Hook, Marcus Allen Hook, Justine DeBoer, Logan Wilkens, and Preston Fookes; twelve great grandchildren, Ryder, Chloe, Kennedy, Emma, Andrew, Lucas, Laura, Ariya, Braxtyn, Cooper, Jamison, and Mykall, and a special friend, Lori Smith.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Ray Scudder; two sisters, Dorothy Mae Tiesman and Joyce Blair.
