Obituary for Joseph E. Feldman
JOSEPH E. FELDMAN, JR., 87, of Pleasant View Nursing Home, Morrison, IL, died Friday, November 30, 2007 at the nursing home. Joseph was born July 19, 1920 in Morrison, IL, to Joseph E. and Ivy (Rhymer) Feldman, Sr. He attended the Morrison, IL grade and high schools. Joe married Darlene A. Grater on October 15, 1940 in Clinton, IA. She died March 14, 2005. He farmed in the rural Morrison area his entire life. Joe was a member of the Whiteside County Farm Bureau and was on the school board for the McAllister grade school in rural Morrison, IL. He was inducted into the Morrison High School Hall of Fame as a member of the 1937 football team. Survivors include two daughters, Sharee (Mrs. DuWayne) Ottens of Morrison, IL and Patricia (Mrs. Michael) Abelson of Weston, MA; one son, Kenneth (Lona) Feldman of Eugene, OR; six grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; one sister, Elaine (Mrs. Aaron) Rasmussen of San Diego, CA; and one brother, Phillip Dale (Jeanne") Feldman of Buffalo Grove, IL. He was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene; one son, Larry Joe; one granddaughter, Rachel Feldman; and one sister, Dorothy Kromery.
