Obituary for John J. Huizenga
JOHN J. HUIZENGA, 94, of Resthave Nursing Home, Morrison, IL, died Monday, May 16, 2011 at the nursing home. John was born March 19, 1917, in Fulton, IL, to Jacob and Bessie (Housenga) Huizenga. He attended Morrison schools. John married Sena Vos on August 23, 1940 in Morrison. She died Jan. 7, 2011. He was employed by the Badger-Ritchie Lumber Company in Morrison, retiring after 40 years. He was a member of Ebenezer Reformed Church in Morrison and served as an elder and deacon. John enjoyed fishing and hunting. After retirement he enjoyed golfing. Survivors include one daughter, Beth (Jim) Bickerman of Princeton, IL; one son, Bob (Kathy) Huizenga of Morrison, IL; two daughters-in-law, Vicki Huizenga of Mackinaw, IL and Maria Huizenga of Morrison, IL; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Bush of Morrison, IL and Anna (Gale) Ellis of Clinton, IA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sena; two sons, Gary and Ron Huizenga; one grandson, Mike Huizenga; one brother, Marvin Huizenga; one sister, Tena Van Dyke.View this obituary online at www.bosmarenkes.com
