JOHN A. CHAPLIN, SR., 68, of Fulton, IL, died Friday, July 14, 2017, at Mercy Medical Center North, Clinton, IAJohn was born July 7, 1949, in Pekin, IL, to Robert and Catherine Marie (Paul) Chaplin. He was educated in the Pekin, IL grade schools and attended Pekin High School. John married Sandra K. Lasley on July 27, 1967, in Pekin, IL. He was a retired over the road truck driver. John enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.Survivors include his wife, Sandra; four daughters, Cathy (Angel) Hernandez of Rock Island, IL; Patty (Ryan) Heisz of Bloomer, WI; Sheila (Richard) Chaplin of Marshfield, MO; and Becky (Tony) Lopez of Erie, IL; two sons, John A. (Sarah) Chaplin, Jr. of Marshfield, MO and James (Carrie) Chaplin of Durant, IA; twenty-nine grandchildren; thirty-five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Rebecca Robinson of Indianpolis, IN.He was preceded in death by his parents; one granddaughter, Lydia Chaplin; one sister, Marie Howell, and three brothers, Bobby, Charlie, and Gene Chaplin.
