Obituary for Jimmie D. Main Sr.
JIMMIE D. MAIN, SR., 76, of 17382 Diamond Road, Fulton, IL, died Thursday, December 14, 2006, at his home.Jimmie was born September 23, 1930 in Atlanta, MO, to Earl and Daisey (Dennis) Main. He attended Atlanta, MO grade and high schools. He served in the U.S. Army. Jimmie married Betty Lou in Clinton, IN. He later married Mary E. Homer on January 28, 1961 in Morrison, IL. His last marriage was to Christine Segobiano on July 25, 1987 in Fulton, IL. She died March 19, 1992. Jimmie was employed at General Electric in Morrison, IL, for 25 years retiring in October of 1989. He was a member of the Federal Order of the Eagles, Moose Lodge in Sterling, IL, and the General Electric Athletic Association. Survivors include four daughters, Donna (Mrs. Tom) Bergren of Kewanee, IL; Mary Ellen (Mrs. Jerry) Main of Thomson, IL; Judy Smith of St. Mary"s, GA; and Dale (Todd Johnson) Ludvigsen of Fulton, IL; one son, Bruce Brasel of Fulton, IL; fourteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; and numerous children that called him "Grand Pappy"; three sisters, Leola (Mrs. Larry) Cooper and Mrs. Freda Gladhill both of Missouri and Mrs. Ruby Johnson of Galesburg, IL; two brothers, Jerry (Mary) Main of Thomson, IL and Garvin (Lil) Main of Knoxville, IL.He was preceded in death by his wife, Christine; one son, Jimmie Main, Jr. and one daughter, Shirley Jean Wheeler.
