Obituary for Jerry L. Dobbins
JERRY L. DOBBINS, 73, of Fulton, IL, died Friday, May 9, 2014, at his home. Jerry was born March 7, 1941, in Ava, MO, to Daniel W. and Inez M. (Rowe) Dobbins. He attended the Black Oak Grade School and the Ava High School in Ava, MO. Jerry married Kay M. Hodge on August 18, 1961, in Ava, MO. He retired from International Harvester in East Moline, IL, after 23 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed camping, traveling, fishing, hunting, and cutting wood. Survivors include his wife, Kay; two daughters, Pamela Meals of Kingsley, IA and Patricia (Charles) Barr of Fulton, IL; one son, Bart (Diana) Dobbins of Fulton, IL; five grandchildren, Robert Bach, Jr.; Jacob and Whitney Dobbins; Brianna and Azaria Meals; one great-grandson, Micah Bach; one sister, Annalee (George) Pratt of Springfield, MO; one half sister, Mary Evelyn (Larry) Ziegler of East Moline, IL; and one half brother, Ralph Dobbins. He was preceded in death by his mother and one brother, Daniel Dobbins.
