Obituary for Jennie Tichler
JENNIE TICHLER, 93, of 505 Jenkran, Unit #1, Morrison, IL, died Monday, November 7, 2005, at Mercy Medical Center North in Clinton, IA. Jennie was born August 2, 1912 in Waarfum, Gronigen " Netherlands, to Henry and Anna (Schol) Post. She was educated in the Fulton, IL grade schools. Jennie married Arnold Tichler on March 5, 1934 in Fulton, IL. He died May 5, 1985. She was employed at Fulton Corp., formerly Patent Novelty, in Fulton, IL. After her marriage, she farmed along with her husband in the rural Morrison, IL area, retiring in 1985. She was a member of Ebenezer Reformed Church in Morrison, where she was involved in the church choir, Ladies Aid, Lydian Society, and had served as pianist for the societies and the gospel team. She was a member of the Resthave Auxiliary and Whiteside County Farm Bureau. She enjoyed entertaining with humorous skits and readings at local organizations. Survivors include one daughter, Karen (Mrs. Harvey) Zuidema of Morrison, IL; six grandchildren, Carmen (Mrs. Kevin) Church, Kay (Mrs. Dan) Finch, LeeAnn (Mrs. Mark) Thies, Todd (Kim Given) Zuidema, Dean (Julie) Zuidema, and Myron Zuidema; nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold; one son, Harvey (Pat) Tichler; and one sister, Flora Holesinger.
