Obituary for Jennie H. Tegeler
JENNIE H. TEGELER, 97, of Pleasant View Nursing Home in Morrison, IL died Sunday, November 16, 2008 at the nursing home. Jennie was born on June 2, 1911 in Morrison, IL to Peter and Hattie J. (Dykema) Oostenryk. She was educated in the rural Whiteside County Grade Schools. She married Henry Tegeler on January 31, 1931 in Morrison, IL. He preceded her in death on October 5, 1989. Jennie was a member of Ebenezer Reformed Church in Morrison, IL. She loved to cook and teach her granddaughters to cook. She also liked to sit and play games with her grandchildren when they were young. Survivors include two daughters-in-law, Mrs. Arnie Tegeler of Morrison, IL and Mrs. Dona Tegeler of Morrison, IL; five grandchildren, Jonelle (Kevin) Hook of Morrison, IL, Harvey (Connie) Tegeler Jr. of Morrison, IL, Tim (Lisa) Tegeler of Morrison, IL, Don (Joy) Tegeler of Morrison, IL, Steve (Elisabeth) Tegeler of Rock Falls, IL; two step grandchildren, Diana (John) Ericson of Wise River, MT, Steve (Jerianne) Miller of Monroe, WI; ten great grandchildren; four step great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; six step great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; two sons, Paul Tegeler and Harvey Tegeler; one granddaughter, Rebecca Tegeler; one sister, Ellen Engelkens.
