Obituary for Jeanette C. Ilsley
JEANETTE C. ILSLEY, 89 of Windsor Manor in Morrison, IL; formerly of Prophetstown, IL, died Friday, November 13, 2020 at Windsor Manor.
Cremation rites have been accorded, there will be no services. The Bosma-Gibson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family has established a memorial.
Jeanette was born January 12, 1931 in Sycamore, IL, to Emil and Alice (Nelson) Cassier. She grew up in the Sycamore Park which was established by her family. She attended grade school and high school in Sycamore, IL. On August 30, 1957 she married the love of her life, Melvin B. Ilsley, in Sycamore. He passed away on May 14, 2019. Jeanette was a homemaker and stay at home mother. She was a talented painter and always loved animals, especially dogs. In her younger days she was active in Salem Lutheran Church in Sycamore. Her faith and family were very important to her. After his retirement, Jeanette enjoyed riding in the truck with her husband, Melvin. She also enjoyed traveling and camping with her family.
Survivors include three daughters, Christine Barcus of Freeport, IL, Claire (Terry) Ericson of Bella Vista, AR, and Diane (Frank) Heisner of Prophetstown, IL; eight grandchildren, Matthew (Zetta) Barcus, Steven (Sara) Barcus, Daniel (Phuong) Barcus, Carlie Ericson, Michael Ericson, Scott (Jess) Wirsing, Jeff Wirsing, Rachel (Aaron) Berogan; seven great grandchildren; one sister and one niece.
