Obituary for Jean Meegan
JEAN A. MEEGAN, 76, of 306 S. Church Street, Albany, IL, died Monday, February 18, 2008 at her home. Jean was born November 8, 1931, in Boston, MA, to Arthur and Margaret (McNulty) Byers. She graduated from Dorchester High School for Girls in Dorchester, MA and attended Bryant Business School in MA. She married George H. Meegan on December 1, 1951. He died December 1, 2005. Jean was a real estate broker, working out of Mel Saad in Erie, IL. She was a member of St. Patrick"s Catholic Church in Albany, IL. She was a member of the 49er"s Club and enjoyed reading and working on cross word puzzles. Survivors include one daughter, Pegi (Mrs. Jerry) Cahill of Plano, TX; three sons, Paul (Pegi) Meegan of South Barrington, IL, Dan (Kelly) Meegan of Antioch, IL and Kevin Meegan of Clinton, IA; eight grandchildren, Marci and Matthew Hoeft, Jenifer Cahill; Kelly and Ryan Meegan; Monica (Mrs. Jeremy) Holtzee, Kendra and Sarah Meegan; two great grandchildren, Keira and Caden Holtzee; three sisters, Mrs. Ruth McDaniel of CA, Mrs. Lois Bouranis of South Hamilton, MA and Merle Dunn of NC. She was preceded in death by her husband, George; one sister, Rita Duff; two brothers, Jimmy and Artie Byers.
