Obituary for Jane Beswick Darby
JANE BESWICK DARBY, 77, of Morrison, IL, died Wednesday November 21, 2018 at her home.
The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Emmanuel Reformed Church in Morrison, with Rev. Rich Davis officiating. A visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday, November 26 at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison.
Jane was born February 25, 1941 to George P. and Edna D. (Bitler) Hetz. She was educated in the Port Byron, IL school systems. She first married Thomas L. Beswick on December 31, 1966 in Albany, IL. He died on September 15, 1985. On June 5, 1988 she married Larry H. Darby in Iowa City, IA. He died November 3, 2012. Before his passing, Jane worked with her husband Tom on the family farm. She worked at the Isle of Rhodes Restaurant in Morrison for over 35 years. She was a member of Emmanuel Reformed Church in Morrison. She enjoyed traveling, watching Chicago Blackhawks hockey games, and most of all, spending time with her family. A memorial to Self Help Enterprises, Inc. in Sterling, IL has been established.
Survivors include two daughters, Sally (Dave DeCock) Beswick of Clinton, IA and Lori (Pete) Vanderlaan of Chicago, IL; one son, Terry Beswick of Fulton, IL; two step sons, Bruce (Brandy) Darby of Morrison, IL and Matthew (Laura) Darby of Rochelle, IL; one step daughter, Amy Darby; eleven grandchildren; nine step grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; one sister, Gloria Schell of East Moline, IL; one brother, Mike (Char) Hetz of Port Byron, IL; four sisters-in-law, Marge (Kenny) Houzenga and Sara (Therm) Stuart, both of Fulton, IL, Virginia (Jim) Fay of Omaha, NE and Lynn Mussatto of Ottawa, IL; her special second family, George, Kathy, Nick and Karen Pompou; many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands, Thomas and Larry; two sons, Tony and Rick Beswick; one step son, Michael Darby; one brother, Danny Hetz.
