Obituary for James J. Daubard
JAMES J. DAUBARD, 58, of 14800 Norrish Road, Morrison, IL, died Thursday, September 6, 2007 at Morrison Community Hospital, Morrison, IL. Jim was born November 30, 1948 in Munich, Germany to Weldon S. and Catherine J. (Burleigh) Daubard. He was educated in the Erie Grade Schools and was a 1967 graduate of Erie High School in Erie, IL. He attended Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, IL and had served in the Iowa National Guard. Jim married Dianne M. Beckstrom on October 3, 1986 in Morrison. He was first employed by Erie Lumber and Grain in Erie, IL and later by General Electric in Morrison. Most recently, he was employed by Commonwealth Edison/Exelon at the Quad City Nuclear Power Plant, retiring in 2002. Jim was a member of Morrison Dunlap Lodge #321-AF & AM, a member of the former Morrison Country Club, and currently a member of Lake View Country Club in Sterling, IL. He enjoyed bicycling, reading, and riding in RAGBRAI. He was an avid University of Illinois fan and a Yankees Baseball fan. Survivors include his wife, Dianne; two daughters, Tisha (Mrs. Todd) Wilson of Minneapolis, MN and Meegan (Alex Bostick) Daubard of Chicago, IL; one grandson, Jalen Wilson; three sisters, Catherine (Christopher Zibart) Daubard of Lake Forest, IL; Fredi Sage of Highland Park, IL, and Susan (Alvaro Burbano) Daubard of Northbrook, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents.
