Obituary for James D. Rumfelt
JAMES D. RUMFELT, 85, of Fulton, IL, died Wednesday, October 28, 2015, at his home. Jim was born July 13, 1930, in Gorham, IL, to Cyrus S. and Bessie M. (Kinney) Rumfelt. He attended Wolf Lake grade and high schools in Wolf Lake, IL. Jim served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He married Emily A. Coyne. He was employed by E.I. DuPont Company in Clinton, IA, for 32 years, retiring in 1985. Jim attended Gateway Faith Fellowship in Fulton and enjoyed the river and spending time with his family. Survivors include six daughters, Beverly (Tom) Dirkes of Mt. Juliet, TN; Kathleen Heaps of Eldridge, IA; Brenda (Bob) Sykes of Sunrise Beach, TX; Sherrie (Ray) Borgman of Fulton, IL; Debra (Jim) Morris of Fulton, IL; and Emilie (Randy) Price of Port Byron IL; one son, James Rumfelt of Fulton, IL; twenty-two grandchildren; fifty-one great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Joe (Doris) Rumfelt of Jonesboro, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Johnny Rumfelt, Billy Rumfelt, and Lyman Rumfelt.
