Obituary for James A. Jones

JAMES "THE REV" ALLEN JONES, 60, of Fulton, IL, died Saturday April 5, 2014, in Stockton, IL, as a result of an automobile accident. Jim was born October 28, 1953, in Davenport, IA, to Robert E. and Carol J. (Clark) Jones. He graduated from West High School in Davenport and was a United States Air Force Veteran. On November 1, 2002 he married Sandra L. Burns in Morrison, IL. She died on December 2, 2013. Jim was a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union #25 in Rock Island, IL. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan and enjoyed attending the Clinton Lumber Kings baseball games. Jim took pleasure spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren. Survivors include his daughter Amanda (Joseph) De La Cruz of Laredo, TX; two step-daughters, Jaime Aude of Clinton, IA and Julie Wright of Fulton, IL; three grandchildren, Joseph III, Gabriela and Lucas De La Cruz; one step-grandson, Alex Aude; one sister, Annette (Jeff) Swank of Herscher, IL; one brother, Donald (Theresa) Jones of Mt. Pleasant, IA. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sandra; two brothers, Ronald and Michael Jones.
