Obituary for J.B. Bernie Huesman
J.B. "BERNIE" HUESMAN, 96, of 500 Ash Avenue, Morrison, IL, died Saturday, May 14, 2011 at Morrison Community Hospital, Morrison, IL. Bernie was born November 19, 1914 in Reading, PA, to Harry and Mary (Rickert) Huesman. He was a graduate of the Reading High School and attended the University of Pennsylvania. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the European Theatre during WWII. Bernie married Maxine Andrews on October 8, 1943 at Camp McCain in Elliott, MS. He was employed by the H.J. Heinz Company, Wilson Greenhouse in Morrison and as an adjuster for Country Companies Insurance. Bernie was a member of the St. Mary"s Catholic Church in Morrison, IL. He was a member and past president of the Whiteside County Fair Board and the Illinois Association of Agricultural Fairs. Bernie enjoyed golf and gardening. Survivors include his wife, Maxine; one son, Michael (Xiuna) Huesman of Campe Verde, AZ and one granddaughter, Weijia Huesman; and Kelvin and Sara Tenboer and family of Morrison, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Charles Huesman and Msgr. Henry Huesman.
