Obituary for Isabelle J. Benson
ISABELLE J. BENSON, 90, of Pleasant View Nursing Home, Morrison, IL, died Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at the nursing home. Isabelle was born September 11, 1924, in Fulton, IL, to Elmer and Elizabeth (Ottens) Van Dellen. She was educated in the Fulton Grade Schools and was a graduate of Fulton High School. She married Herbert "Perk" Benson on August 24, 1955 in Fulton. He died March 8, 2013. Isabelle was employed by the Clinton Herald Newspaper in Clinton, IA. She was a member of the Bethesda Lutheran Church in Morrison. She was a cat lover, enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. Survivors include one daughter, Mary Kay (LeRoy) Wright of Morrison; two sons, Eric (Mary) Benson and Steve (Lori) Benson, both of Morrison; five grandchildren, Nichole Wright and fianc" Jeff Segneri, Jason Wright, Kenneth (Alesha) Benson, Michael (Ashley) Benson, Abby Benson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert; one son, Keith Benson; one granddaughter, Ashton Wright; one sister, Marjorie Pell; one brother, Floyd Van Dellen.
