Obituary for Irma Balk
IRMA BALK, 79, of Harbor Crest Nursing Home in Fulton, IL, died Monday, August 20, 2018 at Harbor Crest.
Funeral services will be a 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 23, 2018 at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home, preceded with a visitation from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service. The Rev. Kevin VerHoeven, Pastor Thrive Ministries Bethel Campus, Fulton, will officiate. Interment will be in Fulton Township Cemetery. A memorial to Harbor Crest Nursing Home has been established.
Irma was born October 7, 1938 to Henry C. and Clara (Bielema) Balk in Fulton. She was educated in the Fulton grade schools and graduated from Fulton High School. Irma was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church in Fulton where she was a member of the Dorcas Society. She enjoyed puzzles and word searches.
Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Arlene Stuart of Fulton and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Kenneth in infancy and Eugene Balk; one sister-in-law, Gladys Balk; one brother-in-law, Robert Stuart.
