Obituary for Irene F. Zuidema
IRENE F. ZUIDEMA, 93, of Harbor Crest Nursing Home, Fulton, IL, died Sunday April 14, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center North in Clinton, IA. Irene was born February 25, 1920, in Omaha, NE, to Rudolph and Mary (Filipowic) Krupinski. She was a graduate of Foley High School, in Foley, AL. She married Everette Zuidema on February 22, 1943, in Elberta, AL. He died November 30, 1960. Irene was employed by Fulton Corporation in Fulton, IL. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fulton, and was a member of the church"s Altar and Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Fulton American Legion Auxiliary. Irene enjoyed gardening and baking. Survivors include three sons, Edwin Zuidema of Fulton, IL, Steve (Jennie) Zuidema of Bettendorf, IA and Ken Zuidema of Clinton, IA; two grandchildren, Linell (Dan) Eaton and Nicole Zuidema; four great grandchildren, Madeline, Grace and Charlie Eaton, Breanna Zuidema; two sisters, Leona McCullough of Pensacola, FL and Dorothy Gerace of Wilmington, DE; one brother, John (Margaret) Krupinski of Foley, AL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Everette; three sisters, Stella McCall, Helen Fishorn and Lovetta Humphrey.
