Obituary for Hester E. Munther
HESTER E. MUNTHER, 76, of 610 W. Lincolnway, Morrison, IL, died Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Morrison. Hester was born September 28, 1936, in Moline, IL, to Merrill W. and Maude (Morgan) Haley. She was a 1954 graduate of United Township High School in East Moline, IL, and also attended Illinois State College in Normal, IL. She married Robert F. Munther on March 1, 1958, in Iowa City, IA. He died December 27, 1993. Hester was employed for 30 years as office manager for Ross V. Bogott Company, in Morrison, IL. Most recently she worked at Fitzgerald Drug Store in Morrison. She was a Curved Bar recipient in Girl Scouts and a Past Matron of the Primrose Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. Hester was an active member of the Morrison United Methodist Church. She enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren, traveling, line dancing and quilting. Survivors include one daughter, Rebecca L. (Louis) Albrecht of Morrison; two sons, Michael R. (Paula) Munther of Morrison and Frank M. Munther of Erie, IL; two step daughters, Cheryl (Brad) Park and Debbie Munther, both of Bloomington, IL; ten grandchildren, Jason (Carolyn) Stuart, Tawnya (Brennan) Carroll, Jonathan Stuart, Rhonda (Chad) Misfeldt, Jenny Hepner, Amy Hepner, Keri Hepner, Tyler Glover, Robert Munther, Frank Munther; thirteen great grandchildren, Jaslyn, Cadyence and Jacey Stuart, Corrine and Caleb Carroll, Drew, Mason and Aubrey Misfeldt, Jaylynn and Chloe Hamilton, Bradley Dugan, Keegan Ryan, Randall Gray. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; one son, Jon Munther; one brother, Roger Haley.
