Obituary for Henrietta C. Hook
HENRIETTA C. HOOK, 95, of Resthave Nursing Home, Morrison, IL, died Thursday, March 18, 2010 at Morrison Community Hospital, Morrison, IL. Henrietta was born July 13, 1914 in Fenton, IL, to Cornelius and Agnes (Wilkens) Hook. She attended Delhi School of rural Whiteside County and graduated from Morrison High School. She farmed in the rural Morrison area all her life, with her brother, Ernest, until retiring and moving to Morrison. She was a member of Emmanuel Reformed Church in Morrison and a regular member of the Mission Circle. Henrietta greatly enjoyed being outdoors in the country and had a paasion for birds. In later years, she enjoyed the kitties at the farm. She loved reading the Bible and her hymn book. Survivors include one niece, Judi (James) Allen of Rochester, NY; one nephew, Keith (Judy) Hook of Mukilteo, WA; great nieces, Sarah (Brian) Cordova, Charissa (Jeremy) Seaward, and Juliana (Tyler) Johnson; great nephews, Craig (Stephanie) Hook, Kevin Hook, Cory Hook, Jeffrrey Cox, Daniel Cox, and Michael Cox. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Ernest Hook and Alvin Hook; one nephew, Kent Hook.
