Obituary for Helen L. Nelson
HELEN L. NELSON, 71, of 106 Carolee Lane, Morrison, IL, died Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at CGH Medical Center, Sterling, IL. Helen was born May 30, 1935 in Watseka, IL, to John and Gladys (Mowrey) Mitchell. She was educated in Sheldon grade schools and was a 1953 graduate of Sheldon High School in Sheldon, IL. Helen married Gordon E. Nelson on December 24, 1960 in East Moline, IL. She was employed by the Farmer"s Elevator in Morrison as a bookkeeper. She also worked at the Morrison Locker Service, Whiteside County Farm Bureau, and the Whiteside News Sentinel all in Morrison. She was a member of St. Peter"s Lutheran Church in Morrison and Morrison Community Hospital Ladies Auxiliary. Survivors include her husband, Gordon; one son, Eric (Jenna) Nelson of Antioch, IL.She was preceded in death by her parents.
