Obituary for Hattie S. Richman
HATTIE S. RICHMAN, 96, of Harbor Crest Home in Fulton, IL, formerly of Clinton, IA and Miles, IA, died Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at the Home.
Her funeral service will be 11:00 AM Friday, December 28, 2018, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home with visitation from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Mr. Ken Renkes will officiate. A graveside committal service will take place at 2:00 PM Friday, December 28, 2018 at the Miles Cemetery in Miles, IA. A memorial to Harbor Crest Home has been established.
Hattie was born June 15, 1922 at home in Andrew, IA, to Allie and Rebecca (Schipper) Miller. She was a graduate of Preston High School in Preston, IA. Hattie married Ward D. Richman on October 11, 1940, in Lost Nation, IA. He died August 13, 1997. She was employed by Champion Dairy-Pak in Clinton, IA, for many years. Hattie was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Bellevue, IA. Hattie was confirmed at the Salem Lutheran Church in Andrew, IA. She enjoyed being outdoors and working in her yard. She also enjoyed bird watching, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include one daughter, Harriet Collins of Eldridge, IA; three sons, Dennis (Pat) Richman of Hartford, WI; Roger Richman of Moorhead, MN; and Dale (Karen) Richman of Elk Grove Village, IL; eleven grandchildren, Brenda (Gary) Kiefer, Julie (Scott) Halverson, Karen (Mike) Martinson, Mike (Michele) Richman, Mark (Irina) Richman, David (Tracy) Richman, Rhonda (Paul) Mussmann, Dan (Lisa) Collins, John (Marie) Offutt, Lisa Offutt, and Jeff (Faye) Offutt; twenty-two great grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Leona Miller.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ward; one great grandson, two daughters-in-law; one son-in-law; one sister, and two brothers.
