Obituary for Harriet J. Schaver
HARRIET J. SCHAVER, 94, of Harbor Crest Home, Fulton, IL, died Saturday, July 9, 2016, at Harbor Crest. Harriet was born January 1, 1922, in Fulton, IL, to Jacob R. and Alice (Vander Schaaf) Bielema. She was educated in the Smith Grade School of rural Whiteside County, Illinois. She married J. Willis Schaver on June 30, 1942, in Fulton, IL. He died March 30, 2005. Harriet was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church in Fulton and a 50 year member of the church"s Dorcas Society. She was also a member of the former Marigold Circle of the Unity Christian School. Harriet enjoyed couponing for the benefit of the Christian School. Survivors include two brothers, Raymond and Elmer Bielema both of Fulton, IL; nieces and nephews, Brian Bielema, Ross (Michelle) Bielema, Brent Bielema, Linda (Howard) Paysen, Lauren (Fennie) Schaver, Linda (Dan) Randall, and Pam (Don) Warren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Willis; one niece and her husband, Irene and Gerald Wiersema.
