Obituary for Gordon Stuart
GORDON STUART, 64, of Albany, IL, died Sunday, February 27, 2022, at MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center in Des Moines, IA.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, March 11, 2022, at King Pins in Fulton, IL. The Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established by the family.

Gordon was born January 12, 1958 in Clinton, IA, to Robert G. and Arlene Mae (Balk) Stuart. He was educated in the Fulton Grade schools and was a 1976 graduate of Fulton High School. On March 3, 1984 he married Sandra White in Fulton. Gordon was employed at 3M in Cordova, IL, retiring in 2019. After retiring, he hauled grain for several local trucking companies. He enjoyed softball, bowling, golf, and spending time with his grandkids. Gordon was on the Albany Township Board; he never met a stranger and was very active in the community. He was a member of the Albany Fire Department for 25 years.

He is greatly missed by his wife, Sandy; two daughters, Ashley (Sam) Yoder and Kasie (Kristopher) Swihart; grandchildren Soren, Roman, Gideon, Boden and Laine Yoder; Jacob, MaKenna and Peyton Swihart; one sister, Peg (Mike) Wessels; three brothers, Vince (Deb) Stuart, Warren (Joy) Stuart and Kent (Kim) Stuart; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
