Obituary for Gordon Bernard Hattan Sr.
GORDON BERNARD HATTAN SR., 86, of Fulton, IL, died Saturday, May 6, 2017 at his home in Fulton.Gordon was born October 17, 1930 in Chicago, IL to William and Julie (Pientkewic) Hattan. He was educated in the Chicago schools. On March 22, 1952 he was united in marriage to Darlene J. Zeimet in Chicago. He was veteran, serving in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Gordon was employed by Exelon, retiring in 1990. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fulton and the Morrison, IL VFW Post #8281. He enjoyed playing golf, pool, euchre and gardening. His greatest joy in life was the time he spent with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.Survivors include his wife, Darlene; two daughters, Linda (Michael) Schafer of Fulton, IL and Nancy Martin of Bettendorf, IA; two sons, Gordon B. Hattan Jr. of Fulton, IL and Matthew (Margaret) Hattan of Camanche, IA; eight grandchildren, James (Sara) Schafer, Joseph Schafer, Jesse (Angelina) Schafer, William Martin, Alex Martin, Brandy (Nicholas) Manrique, Cassandra (Anthony) McCloy and Allie Fredrick; eleven great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Shirley Cattelina of Woodale, IL.He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Cynthia A. Schmitt; one sister, Carol Stout; two brothers, Marvin and Raymond Hattan.
