Obituary for Gerald K. Anderson
GERALD K. ANDERSON, 64 of 209 Johnson Street, Morrison, IL, died Friday, November 4, 2005 at Mercy Medical Center North in Clinton, IA. Gerald was born May 25, 1941, in Freeport, IL, to Kenneth and Louise (Smith) Anderson. He was educated in the rural Clyde Township grade schools and attended Morrison High School. He married Monica Nielsen on July 10, 1983 in Morrison. He worked at Northwestern Steel and Wire in Sterling, IL for 31 years until his retirement in 1997. He was a member of Bethesda Lutheran Church in Morrison and also the Morrison Kiwanis Club. Survivors include his wife, Monica; two daughters, Cinda (Mrs. Ron) Coleman of Cedar City, UT and DeAnna Coers of Morrison; two sons, Brian (Tiffany) Coers of Ft. Worth, TX and Kent Anderson of Georgia; seven grandchildren, Kristofer Coleman, Paisha Coleman, Ashley Coers, Jennah Coers, Lucas Hemminger, Erin Roggy, Tyson Anderson; one brother, David (Kathy) Anderson of Machesney, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Debora Bradshaw; one son, Aaron Anderson; one brother, Alan K. Anderson.
