Obituary for Gary M. Ferris
GARY M. FERRIS, 67, of Fulton, IL, died Sunday, March 9, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center North in Clinton, IA. Gary was born May 7, 1946, in DeKalb, IL, to Marshall G. and Gloria E. (Christenson) Ferris. He was educated in the DeKalb grade schools and attended DeKalb High School. On July 8, 1977 he married Sharon V. Jensen in Shabbona, IL. Gary was employed by Northern Illinois University in DeKalb. He enjoyed fishing and traveling and time he spent with family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Sharon; one daughter, Pamela (Michael) Skrzypchak of Neenah, WI; two sons, Wayne Goers of Thomson, IL and Craig M. Ferris; five grandchildren, Amanda, Alayna, and Logan Skrzypchak, Patricia and Blake Goers; one sister, Kathy Quinn of VA; one brother, Craig (Terry) Ferris of DeKalb, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents.
