Obituary for Gary D. Menz
GARY D. MENZ, 75, of Fulton, IL, died Monday, September 26, 2016 at the Alverno Health Care Facility in Clinton, IA.Gary was born June 9, 1941 in Brainerd, MN, to Raymond W. and Hazel (Corwin Foughty) Menz. He was educated in the Clinton Iowa grade schools and was a 1960 graduate of Clinton High School. He then went into an apprenticeship through the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers IBEW. On October 15, 1961 he married Dolores Dee Ferguson in Clinton. Gary was a journeyman electrician with the IBEW Local #145. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fulton. He also was a member of the Autumn Leaf Jewel Tea Club and a member of different antique lighting clubs. Gary was an avid bass fisherman, enjoyed woodworking, attending auctions and antiquing especially for antique lighting.Survivors include his wife, Dee; two daughters, Kathleen Kathy (Keith) Leffler of Fulton, IL and Karen Pindar of Winfield, IL; three grandchildren, Konnor Leffler, Kelsey Leffler and Kaitlyn Pindar; one brother, William Bill (Gwen) Menz of OFallon, IL; several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents.
